For our client, a premier consulting organization focused exclusively on solving the toughest data challenges for information intensive businesses across the world, we are currently looking for:
Teradata Database Administrator with Polish language (rem.)
location: Kraków, Warszawa, Wrocław

Responsibilities:
* Manage system performance, including workload management and throttling in TASM
* Monitor Query performance and tuning, physical node behavior, and amp distribution
* Support multiple Teradata systems including Data marts, development, and the enterprise warehouse systems and business applications
* Consult on physical database implementations, PPI, skew analysis, join methods, and data access paths
* Support Unix level process, scripts, and tools for system management and data movement
* Manage, design, support, development and consult on practices of storage management, archive, restore, and disaster recovery
* Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades
* Install, configure and upgrade Teradata software and related products
* Proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime
* Implement and administer access policies in conjunction with corporate standards
* Help ETL Developers to fine tune the SQL's
* Manage DBMS configuration changes (should be willing to learn new technology and support other DBMS)
* Backup, restore, migrate Teradata data and objects from Production to dev
* Responsible for implementation and release of database changes as submitted by the development team

We expect you have:
* Polish language fluent or native
* 6-8 years overall IT experience
* Teradata DBA experience with both logical and physical database designs
* Advanced knowledge of Teradata Architecture and system internals
* Working knowledge of Teradata client tools (TDadmin, SQL Assistance , View Point, Visual explain ) and utilities (Bteq, Arcmain, Fastload, Multiload, Tpt,Tpump)
* TASM Experience
* Advanced SQL coding/tuning skills
* Advance Shell scripting
* Other RDBMS database experience is a plus ( Netezza, Kognitio, Oracle, SQL server, Mongo DB)
* Extensive experience in administering large databases
* High level problem solving and technical experience
* Excellent communication (written and verbal)
